Jane Macrae knows how to draft a dream home.

Trained in Melbourne, she’s worked in the industry locally and abroad since 2004 – exploring all avenues architecture from high rise residential projects, hotel and resort masterplanning, retail and mixed use precincts.

After spending decades honing her craft, Jane discovered her true design love:
creating forever homes for families.

She founded Nine Muses in 2017, seeking both creative freedom and flexibility after a sea change to Ocean Grove. Based on the Bellarine Peninsula, Jane loves helping others put down roots and design homes that truly support the way they want to live.

As a sole trader, Jane is hands-on throughout the entire journey – from those early sparks of inspiration to the final touches on site. She thrives on problem-solving, collaboration, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing ideas take shape in real life.

Her work centres on homes that are deeply considered, well-used, and loved by the families who live in them.
