The existing fibro house on this beautiful block was a typical 1950's beach shack complete with nostalgia.

With a desire to bottle the 'vibe' and not contribute unnecessarily to landfill, the bare bones of the existing house were retained and wrapped in new timber clad, bringing it gently into the 21st century.

“Jane has delivered an outstanding design on a redevelopment of an old coastal shack. Incorporating the new with the old, once complete this project will become a stunning family home thanks to Jane capturing our brief perfectly.

We look forward to working on future projects with a brilliant architect .”

The original house became a central pavilion, linking two new buildings and creating courtyard spaces. A north facing living pavilion was added at the rear and a master bedroom suite and garage created a new facade.

From every room you have views to a landscaped internal courtyard or garden. Views are framed through the house and ventilation is optimised.

The end result is a light-filled family home ready for new beachside memories.
